USA Maps Artwork

USA maps are geographic images of the United States. These works of map art are varied and present information that ranges from vintage to historically relevant. The diversity of these works is largely due the American outlook of many states making one nation, which has led to this form of geographic picture being explored by artists in addition to cartographers.

Many of the images of the United States are regional maps which depict the individual states. These works often have an image that symbolizes that particular state, such as a famous contribution or stereotype of person who lives there. Several USA maps have been reinvented by modern artists into pop art images. These works use various methods of depictions, from random patterns to license plates and often include some form of typography. Additionally retro geographic images, such as 'Retro Roadtrip I' by James Nocito or 'Fifty State Flag' by Aaron Foster are common in this form of pop art designs.

Many historic educational posters are of the USA, particularly in classes for younger children. These map art images help to teach young students about the where the different states are located, what their names are, the capitals, and other pertinent information.
