Painting has been Holly Wojahn’s living for more than 30 years; most of those spent living in France. What he wishes to show when he paints is the way he sees things with his eyes and in his heart. Wojahn moving to France more than 20 years ago, and this changed his life and his work, immediately and he says I has been great, especially the colors and charm from cities to villages. He’s inspired at every turn... After living in Paris for more than 15 years, his foot is now firmly rooted in the South of France, with the Mediterranean just steps from his door, and his views of The Old Town daring characteristic oranges and pinks, balanced on the hillsides above the Azur Sea. His original oil paintings that were done on canvas are represented by a number of Art Galleries in France and the USA. Currently he tries his hand at adding original pencil drawings on fine art papers to his Etsy Shop.
Already he has a growing collection here. If his work looks familiar to a viewer, then it could be that they recognize him from many years of his Images being Licensed into all manner of Tabletop products, Stationary, and Gift products. There are also Images done by Wojahn published by several manufacturers of Art Reproductions. His work has a certain cropped and close up look, bringing the viewer into a scene to feel that he’s part of it. Wojahn’s approach to painting takes an original twist and a fresh outlook.
