Lorne Resnick is a Fine Art and Commercial photographer based in Los Angeles. He is also a teacher of travel, people, wildlife, and landscape photography. Resnick also shoots commercial projects in the studio and on location for advertising clients and works on his own fine art images for galleries. He began to shoot for magazines and newspapers capturing the quintessential shots of musical heroes of this generation in the throws of rock ecstasy. Whether it’s exploring the Grand Erg Occidental’s giant sand dunes of in the Sahara, hiking to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro, walking Havana’s Old City, or rowing Vietnam’s Mekong Delta, his passion for photography and travel keeps him moving around the globe exploring different countries and cultures, capturing unique moments.
Resnick’s formidable ability and stylistic certitude as a chronicler made him to earn the prestigious Travel Photographer of the Year award in 2005. His images have been exhibited in galleries across America and Europe and have been used commercially for billboards, annual reports, web sites television, and for advertising campaigns worldwide. From his latest work-in-progress to his first book of photographs, published in 1987 titled Live in Concert: 10 years of Rock and Roll, to film on Cuba and fine art coffee table book, Resnick has always strived to create images that go beyond the everyday facade to capture the essential character and meaning of his subjects. His passion for photography became an obsession, and the obsession made him to be one of the photographers whose pieces are most sought after by many collectors.
