Jane Maday (Born 1965) is an artist who was born in England and raised in the United States. She began her career as a scientific illustrator for the University of Florida when she was just 14 years old. She went ahead and obtained a degree from Ringling College of Art and Design after which she was recruited as a greeting card illustrator by Hallmark Cards, Inc. her scientific background helped her add realism to her work, but she soon realized that she enjoys painting the outsides of the animals to the insides. After her children were born she decided to leave the corporate world, and moved to Colorado. Her work has adorned more than 25 books, as well as jigsaw puzzles, garden flags, t-shirts, cards, ornaments, collector’s plates, and many more. She recently added author to her list of accomplishments, writing best-selling art instruction book published by F & W Publication, as well as numerous magazine articles and other smaller works.
Jane has menageries of animals, two children and a garden for inspiration. She also has a wonderful husband to share it all. She also finds inspiration by observing and photographing things. The artist enjoys painting flowers and birds. She aims at painting pretty pictures that make people happy. Jane credits her licensing agent Leggat Debby, who handles the business side of her work. Jane's attention to detail is illustrated by “Special Delivery Garden Flag”, with charming theme and eye-catching colors, this attractive flag will complement everyone's home. Her favorite products are puzzles and flags. She works 6 months to a year ahead to create new designs for the upcoming holidays and seasons.
