Nancy O'Toole is a Vancouver artist, who was born in Regina, Saskatchewan. She majored in art in high school and studied art at the Vancouver Art Gallery. Nancy is a married woman with three children. Her eldest son is also an artist who’s renowned for his paintings in Acrylic. She went on to focus on nursing career, but returned to painting after her children were born. Nancy studied portraiture and her signature subjects are now Florals and Landscapes. She studied under well known artists, including the late Allen W. Edwards and Elizabeth Smiley among others. Nancy is very prolific in Acrylics, though she is also comfortable with other media. With a zest for life and a generous spirit, she has the unique ability to capture on canvas the beauty of the places she has visited.
Nancy is well known for her dynamic use of color and she strives for luminosity and intensity in her impressionistic style paintings. She has traveled several times through Europe in recent years and the travels have been the inspiration for many of her paintings. Her paintings are in private and corporate collections throughout Ireland, Europe, North America, England, and many other countries throughout the world. They have been featured in galleries across Canada. Nancy is actively involved in the B.C. Art community as a full time artist. She travels and instructs many demonstrations and workshops throughout Canada and B.C. and the US. She has numerous successful Public and Solo Exhibitions throughout Alberta, British Columbia, California and Washington. She is sought after and collected by both corporate and private collectors at home and abroad.
