Boyce Watt studied graphic design at Capilano College and Vancouver Community College. He was born in North Vancouver where he was also raised. Watt grew up amidst the oceans and mountains, drawing inspiration from nature. He has been working in the fine art field for the past 13 years. His true love is travel photography. Currently, he creates images using digital media and had been experimenting with photography for the past few years. When Watt closes in with his camera, his subjects expose their secret personalities and details; his favorite places include Peru, Egypt and Spain. Watt loves to evoke the adventure and romance in the places he visits, forever capturing a moment in time. His art is strongly inspired by the surrounding waters and mountains of Vancouver. He loves documenting his travels.
He dabs in experimental techniques, and is currently digitally enhancing his images. Watt’s art has been to many exhibitions and is found in many private and public collections, institutions and galleries and also in many private homes. His attention to detail is phenomenal; he’s able to capture small details that are easily ignored by many photographers. He truly has a pure passion for photography. It is therefore not a surprise that his art are of high quality and are popular. Even while employing the known styles in photography, Watt is known to bring a unique angle to photography through his creativity. He’s established a style that’s rich in color dazzling in light, and filled with emotion. His photographs have been published as greeting cards, fine art prints, and as posters.
