Just like many artists, Linda Thompson loved art from a young age. After high school, she proceeded to Natal College of Art and Design in Durban, South Africa from where she graduated with distinction in textile design. After graduation she began her career in a very busy studio where she worked as a creative designer. But as time went by, he began to focus much of her energy into painting. Linda loves what she does and her works are able to speak for themselves, attracting clients not only from South Africa but also from around the world. The versatility and endless possibilities of acrylics enable her to develop her style by using texture and multiple layers of color to create the effects she desires. She doesn’t fear to try different styles and techniques when working on a particular job.
She is able to produce very beautiful images of her subjects because of her love of art and passion for anything artistic. Linda is inspired by the visual force of nature. She thrives on color, design and pattern, all of which she carefully considers in her compositions. Linda’s intention is to express herself, to stir emotions, to share her thinking and to grow. Her vibrant pieces of art take the viewer a step beyond what we customarily see on the surface. Her art has found is way into many art shows and exhibitions where they have caused a lot of excitement among collectors. Linda does not fear to paint and is eager to take even complex assignments.
