Consuelo Gamboa Wall Art

Consuelo Gamboa is an African-American Artist. She lived in Mexico when she was still very young, and her art caught the attention of many people. Many people admired her work and encouraged her to continue painting which she did. She says that her mother says she was born with a paintbrush in her hand. Art is something that ran in the blood of the family. In fact her grandmother Consuelo Ferrera Gamboa, was also an artist artist, and was her mentor and namesake. She moved to Canterbury, England after completing her formal education in Mexico. In Canterbury Consuelo studied portrait and watercolor techniques that have become part of her trademark. Just after two years she moved to Paris where she attended the Ecole du Lourve where she studied Art History for three years. In 1978 she moved to Southern California in the United States.

Consuelo began publishing her art in 1981. And in 1987 her visibility escalated when she formed GAMBOA Publishing. She received so many orders and was able to finish them within the stipulated time and budget. This made her to be very popular. Her natural skills and formal training communicate her ability to understand the true feeling of any subject she paints. This natural ability has made her to be accepted throughout the world. That’s why today her art hang on the walls of many buildings around the world. Consuelo does not fear to paint; she takes even the complex projects that many artists would shy away from.
