Susan Friedman is a fine art artist who has earned national and international recognition and has accomplished art projects for many prestigious clients. She is particularly interested in using palladium and platinum printing techniques to create amazing floral series that have demonstrated an imagery that won't fade away. She is also interested in the use of symbolism and story-telling, and also in exploring personal expression. . Over the years, Susan has enhanced her artistic skills by studying the works by other artists and by visiting art galleries and museums. She studied at the University of Buffalo from where she earned BA in Literature then proceeded to San Francisco Art Institute where she earned Masters of Fine Art in Film and Photography.
Her works have been collected privately and exhibited in several galleries and they have received a stream of reviews. Her works have found their way into galleries and have even been presented in documentary form. Susan is so passionately involved with her art that every one of them vividly expresses what she feels about the subject. She is devoted and committed to her work. Her love of art and the care and attention she takes to produce the finished print are a labor of love. Susan has a Grammy Award to her name for her documentary that covered MC Hammer and Rap Culture in Oakland, California. Her “Ki ho alu, That’s Slack Key Guitar” documentary also has a National Endowment for the Arts Grant. Her art have been exhibited in different shows and galleries in the U.S. and Europe, and they have been collected by the Museum of Modern Art in New York and Smithsonian Institute.
