Alfred Forns Wall Art

Alfred Forns has had many different hobbies, but photography has been his only constant since the age of 10. He started with Lexica 3f, which he got from his parents, with 2 lenses - A 50 and 90. What else would he need? He quipped. After a slightly more than a year trying to learn loading the camera, he was able to start making images; though they were not good images. He continued using Leicas until he got immersed in the digital age. He did have some SLRs Nikon along with the range-finder at the start then he switched to Canon. Most of his SLR shooting was under water in which he was able to publish in magazines, books and sell for stock to his clients. While doing the underwater work, his attention on land was turned to black and white medium and large format.

He did all his work in his own lab (color and black & white) until digital came along. He misses those fumes and thinks they have had a lasting effect on him. Some of the hobbies along with his photography have included target shooting in which he won the State Championship many times and came 2nd Nationally, fishing light tackle tournament, Motorcycle Road Racing, Alligator wrestling, Diving, and a couple of other. Currently, his entire focus is on birds but he’s slowly shifting to mammals. He still has to work for a living but spends every minute enjoying his photography. He also does some workshops and one-on-one sessions.
