Kelly Parr is an artist based in New York City. She holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Sculpture from Yale. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art from the University of California, Davis. Kelly also studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venezia. Residencies include The Millay Colony for the Arts (Austerlitz, New York), Sambans Íslanskra Myndlistarmanna (SIM) Reykjavík, The Experimental TV Center (Owego, New York), Socrates Sculpture Park (Long Island City, New York), and Yale School of Art and Music (Norfolk, CT). She says that the balance between cool and warm is of utmost importance to her adding that her goal is to see with her heart and eyes, and paint the landscape using the language of light and color. Kelly has produced so many pieces of art in a variety of finishing options. Her work is represented in private and public collections internationally.
