Tracy Lynn Pristas works in multiple motifs and a number of styles. She paints large-scale oil and cold wax abstracts, abstract landscapes, encaustics and monotypes, and mixed-media acrylics. She has successfully completed close to 30 commissions. Her paintings can be seen in many healthcare settings, including collections at Central DuPage Hospital, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, St. John’s Mercy Medical Center, Lutheran General Hospital, Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital, Mayo Clinic, University of Montana Law School, Swedish Covenant Hospital, and Montana State University, Gaines Hall. Tracy is represented by many fine art galleries nationally. She has a line of licensed images with Winn Devon & Canadian Art Prints, an international company. In January, 2016, her images were selected for their Canvas and Poster Collection Look Book. Early on in Tracy’s career, she was awarded 5-community arts grants by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs. The award contributed to her success as a Chicago painter who is self- taught.
Tracy has been honored with programs such as artist-in-residencies from the Brush Creek Foundation, Jentel Arts Program and Ragdale Foundation for the arts. In 2014, she was a recipient of a direct purchase award given by the Montana Arts Council. She has exhibited in Artwork Network Gallery Denver, Palm Desert, CA, Fine Line Designs Sister Bay, Filsinger Gallery Palm Desert, and Western Spirit Cheyenne, Wyoming, to name just a few. His art has been published in Chicago Sun Times, Chicago Magazine, Pittsburgh Tribune Review, Professional Art Magazine, The Denver Post, Atlanta Style & Design, and more.
