Vladimir Kostka is a photographer who moved from Slovak republic to Canada. Before moving to Canada, he found inspiration in the beautiful images on his travels around the world and captured them with his camera. Kostka received his first camera at the very early age of 7. Viewing the world through the camera’s lens and developing the black-and-white prints became his first love. As years went by, Kostka discovered how to produce images in a highly creative manner while staying true to the feelings of those crucial moments in time. Once he settled in Canada, he continued to find and photograph the beauty of landscapes and life of his new home country. With an eye for the magic of a scene Kostka continues to capture “Beauty in unexpected places” at home and around the world.
He also continued traveling, and that provided him with the opportunity to photograph amazing scenes from West Cost beaches through the Niagara Falls to the Rocky Mountains and beyond. To keep the highest quality possible and to stay true to his vision, Kostka is printing the majority of his photographs at his studio, where he completes the circle from developing the idea to the final print. His work is currently sold in several art stores, galleries, and through private sales around the world. Kostka’s talent led him to have his photographs published in several magazines and also to teach photography. His art has appeared in many solo and group exhibitions throughout Canada and beyond.
