Creating art is something that Jen Killeen has loved to do since early childhood. She was born and raised in New Jersey, and this is where she currently lives. She has been creating art and painting since early childhood. She took private art lessons during her early school years and to improve her work, she later went joined William Paterson University, Wayne, NJ where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, with a concentration in Graphic and Textile Design. After her graduation, she went on to work as a stylist and designer for the home fashion industry. Here, she worked for both bedding and wall covering manufacturers, and most recently she embarked on designing dinnerware. The inspiration for her work comes from visits to New York City, shopping furniture trends, and elements of nature.
While working here she was able to develop the style she uses to create many successful jersey knit patterns, fleece, and flannel for national retailers such as Walmart, Sam's Club, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Kmart, among others. She’s currently licensing her art and her recent designs can be seen on a variety of home products including dinnerware, wall decor, fabric, wall covering and rugs. Her versatile, colorful designs have an all-embracing appeal in the art market today and would be a suitable for home fashion, fabric, stationary, table top, party goods, gift-wrap, and more. Many of her clients are always on the look out for her new designs and she never lets them down because she’s able to produce them one after the other.
