Sara Zieve Miller loved art since her childhood. She’s been making art since she was old enough to hold a pencil. She could draw on any flat surface or on any material she could find. She spent her childhood in a house in the woods and spent several hours making tiny animals out of beads. Today she’s an illustrator who’s interested in advertisements, making children's books, and licensing work. She’s from the Boston area where she attended the Rhode Island School of Design for illustration, and she’s currently living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Sara has made a lot of small books about round anxious rabbits. The animals and plants that lived and grew around her have been a huge inspiration for her illustration work. She loves nature and all the beauty it has to offer.
She believes through her art, she’ll be able to help others to start appreciating all that nature provides so that they can preserve them. While at the Rhode Island School of Design, she developed a love for all types of printmaking. She currently does her illustration in various sunny living rooms either in those of friends and family or at her own apartment. Her illustrations and prints have been exhibited in the student competition exhibit in New York at the Society of Illustrators and at several shows at RISD. Her art has found its way into many prestigious collections, buildings and homes all over the world. They are in great demand and that’s why they are highly priced.
