Beverly Dyer is the Chief Executive Officer at Beverly Dyer. She studied at Millbrook High, and then proceeded to The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He currently lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. As both an artist and a nurse, she understands the power of art as the creator as well as on the viewer. She plunged into art as a way to relieve stress in her own life. And she confesses to have witnessed the effects of artwork on others. She explains that art is healing and can be a way to release emotions as it boosts the immune system, eases depression and pain by increasing good brain chemicals. If one was to walk into her studio, they’d find supplies for just about every medium. She, however, says she has a particular fondness for watercolors.
She loves watercolor, the unpredictability, the way the brush moves smoothly across the paper, the element of surprise, and the fact that it lasts long without fading. Her favorite way to paint is to use brilliant hues that run together in almost abstract splashes of color. The beauty surrounding her home and the outdoors often find their way into her work. She’s inspired by the poetics of everyday life and nature. Some of her favorite subjects include charming songbirds and vibrant flowers. Beverly spends a lot of time sketching in her garden and in a nature preserve near-by. She hopes that her paintings would bring peace and joy to people who purchase them while encouraging them to slow down and take a closer look at marvels in the world around them.
