Gert Kromhout has been an active writer and photographer since the early nineties. His specialty has been military aviation. Throughout the years Kromhout has published his work in many publications worldwide in renowned publications such as International Defence Review, Janes Defence Weekly, Combat Aircraft Monthly, Flight International, Koku Fan, Air Forces Monthly, Onze Luchtmacht, Aviation News, Flug Revue, Vliegende Hollander, Air World International, Air Fan, International Air Power Review, World Air Power Journal, and more. Some of his background articles and reports as well as many of his photos are published online. As a military aviation writer and photographer, he says that taking photos of military aircraft is rewarding, thrilling and challenging. He says after a good trip he comes home with 100s to 1000s of excellent photographs of which just a few can be used in his reports.
Unfortunately, he adds that a waste that cannot be avoided. Many of his pieces of art are very active in tone, and contain great light and brilliant colors and balanced composition. Kromhout has a strong sense of design with the ability to provide the best for his clients. He has received several honors and awards and his work has been brought into countless institutions, businesses, homes, and exhibited at several locations. His art is found in many private and corporate collections around the world. He’s very careful when it comes to the choice of subject matter.
