Sidsel Brix is a Visual artist and illustrator. He’s good at producing non-figurative compositions that deal with calm versus excitement, but mainly focusing on depth, shape and light. His partly abstract artwork covers topics such as maritime landscapes, industrial ports and urban landscapes - preferably, sky mirrors and fabulous water with light as a supporting element. There's more to it than just meditative color exercises or decorative pieces. The artist shows us a form of urdrama in which strong forces meet and in which worlds are undergoing regeneration in the next moment. It is also a world where belligerent is challenged by melodiously acting elements in a struggle as soon as one part finds another. His style involves the use of acrylic on canvas in the form of flat contrasts in line that he builds in many thin varied blurred and sharp layers.
Atmosphere and feeling are what he strives to include in his art. He uses all that artistic elements to ensure that he gets compositions that are perfectly balanced. His art is very much influenced by nature and h produces them in a manner that appeals to viewers from all walks of life. The arts can, therefore, be used to decorate and space. They have found their way into many galleries and homes all over the world. He uses a magnified and emotive perspective, which allows him to communicate with his viewers the moment that he’s creating. That’s why he’s able to produce art that viewers can easily associate with.
