Chuck Burdick is a retired Environmental Engineer who has loved photography for more than 50 years. He’s a self taught photographer working in multiple genres including abstract, landscape and macro photography. Since his retirement in 2008 he has focused his energy on photography by joining the Latow Photographic Guild in Burlington Ontario at The Art Gallery of Burlington, learning to use Apple’s Affinity Photo and Photoshop Elements for post editing, and putting what he has learned into practice. Since 2008, he has owned and worked at CRB Photography. Much of his work can be seen and purchased online. He also has a coffee table photography book, called “Auto Oxidation.” It is a book with 122 pages having 132 color photographs of abandoned and wrecked trucks, cars, and buses. Burdick currently resides in Burlington, Ontario Canada. For the last 7 years he has entered the “One Day in the Life of Burlington” photography contest.
His photographic work has been displayed at Discovery Landing, Burlington City Hall, the Art Gallery of Burlington, Oakville’s Art Fete, and the McMaster Innovation Park. He has won many awards including Royal Botanical Gardens, What Makes Burlington Great Art Contest, Art Gallery of Burlington’s All Guilds Show, Spring Club Competition, among others. His photographs are sold to individuals and business organizations by Image Conscious, a publishing house in San Francisco. Most recently, in 2014 he received a Certificate of Merit – second Place from the Canadian Association for Photographic Art. He holds a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering from University of Florida, and Masters of Environmental Engineering from the same university.
