Daniel Karlsson is a Photographer from Sweden specializing in Airshow, Air-to-Air Aircraft, and General Aviation photography. He’s also a filmmaker with an open and curious mind and a great passion for his work. He believes in clever and simple design solutions based on crafted aesthetics and research. Karlsson graduated in 2003 from the International Center of Photography in New York, with general studies in photography. He then moved to Los Angeles and joined UCLA to study film. He also studied at Kristianstad konstskola and Brooklyn College Film Program, USA. After school he spent a few years in New York City freelancing and assisting as a photographer. His clients include Lund, Fastighetsbyrån Malmö, Eslöv, Kävlinge, Trelleborg, PIXEL, NCC, Spring, Leva & Bo, Teaterhögskola Malmö, Kapetanovich Productions, Danska Musikerförbundet, SENAB, Expressen, SRC Helsingborg, Pågens, Sony Experia, Marieholmskorv, and Abba.
He works with Timothy Greenfield-Sanders, the famous portrait photographer, and with Peter Svensson, the renowned fashion photographer. Today the photographer lives and works out of Malmö, Sweden. Some of his selected group exhibitions include Photographer's Forum Magazine, BOY BANG BOY, East Gallery, London, MOPLA group show, LA, Peter Hay Halpert fine art, Summer skin, LA, and ICP Student exhibition, NYC. Karlsson also teaches a workshop at Malmö Theatre School THM. For his photography work he is represented by Stocktrek Images stock photos agency and Peter Hay Halpert. At his spare time he makes short films and writes. Currently, he freelances as a commercial photographer and takes on assignments that other photographers can shy away from.
