Christian Masnaghetti is an artist who’s known for his images of pre-historic animals. He’s an industrial designer and artist from Argentina. He’s a big admirer of Conway John, and John’s influence can be seen in some of his work. He says that paleontology is part of the reason why he’s oriented to graphics. He has drawn dinosaurs for as long as he can remember, copying them from toys, TV, books, etc. That developed his artistic side and trained his wrist during his childhood. While he’s 100 percent a digital artist now, watercolors and pencils were the tools he learned with. He bought his first tablet in 2010, at the age of 20. However, his interest in dinosaurs decreased during his last year of high school. This was when he knew he was not going to study paleontology (he could not leave the home, economic reasons) and his first 3years at the University.
He decided to study Industrial Design partly because of his capacity to do decent works of art, but he almost stopped with dinosaurs during those years. Masnaghetti joined DeviantArt in 2011 and it completely changed his life. He found a community of artists who are enthusiastic about palaeontography. He found people who shared his interest in dinosaurs. Masnaghetti took his tablet and started painting dinosaurs once more. Now, finally, he could get real feedbacks, and his paleo-education continued. He was happy that he was supported now by both books and friends; and also by some b forums and logs too.
