Corey Ford/Stocktrek Images are created by Corey Ford who says creating art and painting has been his passion his entire life. He’s worked in many different mediums and he’s trying to emulate Frederic Edwin Church, the great illuminary who used a lot of detail and light as one of the painters of ‘Hudson River'. Most probably, Maxfield Parrish has had an impact on his art as one of his visitors pointed out in his painting titled 'Memories'. Ford loves a lot of Parrish's paintings, and his main subjects are beautiful women, science fiction, marine, space, cowboys, fractal abstract, landscapes, unicorns, horse, Egyptian and pegasi. Many of his fine art paintings are found in private collections all over the world. His digital art has been used in prints for private collections and have also been used in book covers, advertisement, computer games and CD covers all over the world.
Beginning in late 2003, Ford started working in digital art and found it very much to his liking and he’s produced more than 100 digital paintings since then. He’s always trying to improve his work in an ongoing process. The programs he uses to make digital art include Ultra Fractal, Strategen, World Machine, Universe Plugins, Flaming Pear Plugins, Photoshop, Terragen, Apophysis, among others. He also continues working in oil painting. Some of his paintings are for sale, and he’s received several awards and honorable mentions. Ford studied Commercial Art in Detroit, Michigan at Cass Tehnical High School. He also holds a nursing degree from St. Clair County Community College in Michigan.
