Stuart Westmorland was a photographer who specialized in underwater photography. This Seattle-based photographer was regarded by many, including his fellow photographers, as the embodiment of an athletic photographer. He’s is recognized as one of the leading lifestyle, nature, underwater, marine, concept, travel, and general stock photographers of his time in the United States of America. Westmorland attended numerous art shows and exhibitions where his art has received positive reviews from viewers and art critics. This really encouraged his and was the driving force behind his success. The images also won many awards. Due to this, his art has found its way into many prestigious spaces and into the hands of some of the most esteemed clients in Seattle and beyond. One of his colleagues says he was a fixture of all his photographer parties over the years and the colleague was so pleased as to be able to present Westmorland with the Best in Show Award /Art Wolfe at the 2010 International Conservation Photography Awards.

He loved his work and could rarely be found without a camera in hand. His art is still a source of inspiration to many upcoming photographers. He lost his short battle with leukemia.
