Álvaro Rozalén is a professional artist from Spain known for digital art and for drawings and paintings of animals. He is actually a paleotartist because he deals mainly with the depictions of pre-historic animals such as pre-historic mammals and dinosaurs. Rozalén believes that since the fossils of dinosaurs show that they were similar to birds, this similarity must have extended to their development and how they care for their young ones too. He uses this to try to show these animals in their natural environment and state so his clients can have a feel of how these animals lived and behaved. The dinosaurs that look more like birds might have taken extensive care of their young ones. This could have been more so for the ones with large brains including Troodonts. These are the smartest dinosaurs, and they may have had elaborate social displays and complicated behaviors.
Such advancement in their cognitive skills might have made it necessary for them to have a relatively long period of learning and infancy. All these factors are considered by Rozalén as he depicts these creatures. Currently, Rozalén’s reputation as one of the true master painters has made the demand for his art to soar. As a result, he’s globally recognized for his portfolio of highly detailed images which is ever-growing. Rozalén believes that everyday and everywhere, there will always be images that get stuck into the consciousness of society that make people amazed, or make them want to stand up and cheer. The artist adds that he will always be driven to bring that past moment in time to life through is art.
