Robin-Lee Vieira is a native New Englander. After working as a soft sculpture artist for some time in the collectors market, she discovered her love for photography. Often she would have to photograph her prototypes for various publications and one thing led to another until she plunged herself fully to photography. She enjoys the rural areas and rocky coast line which seem to be near to each other. She loves all the nooks and crannies that are rarely noticed by passersby, beautiful old stone walls, lone trees, or a river winding through the woodland. She likes to elevate the ordinary into something special with her tonal manipulation and use of textures to bring just the right light and mood to her work. Robin-Lee can be found with her husband, their Portuguese Water Dog and camera, scouting and seeking out those incomprehensible little places in an around New England that she considers as inconspicuous treasures.
Her favorite subject is the simpler, less complicated way of life and that of “old time” New England antiquity which can also be found in many of her works. She says that every season brings with it something new just waiting to be captured and discovered and she looks forward to them. Her love of historic New England and works as a New England Photographer has earned her art many awards including Bristol Art Museum and Gallery, Rhode Island and Coggeshall Farm Museum. She’s represented by Penny Lane Publishing, New Carlisle, Ohio. Her work in photography is not limited to any particular subject. She’s always open to the surprises and opportunities each new day has to offer.
