Joan Davis is a renowned and an established artist with more than 30 national, gallery, exhibitions museum and solo exhibitions. In addition, Joan’s paintings are included in corporate and private collections throughout the world. Her paintings have been included in top companies with artists such as Cassat, Bartlett, Matisse, Krasner and Tamayo. Joan’s abstract process includes using floor work and cardboard and her more refined floral pieces include layers of graphite and charcoal drawing mixed with glazes of paint that are very colorful. She has been commissioned for restaurant and hotel projects, fundraising efforts, executive private residences, and auctions. The artist was formally trained in Connecticut and New York. She now resides in Lake Tahoe and San Francisco where her surroundings provide her with inspiration for many of her captivating series.
Her organic forms stem from her vision and imagination and her images and especially the colors reflect the energy and emotion of an experience. Joan currently shows in New York City, Los Angeles, Lake Tahoe, Palm Desert, and San Francisco as well as internationally. The artist works out of 2 private studios in San Francisco and Lake Tahoe and exhibits at her own art showroom, a 3000 square foot exclusive showroom found at the San Francisco Design Center.
