Helena Alves was born and raised in Brazil. She holds a bachelor of fine arts degree Fine Arts and has developed as an artist with a name. She has sold more than 3000 paintings, has received commission on two churches (facade and stained glass windows). Helena has taught in university, and her works of art are on permanent exhibition in Brazil at the Supreme Court. In 1999 Helena became an American citizen and started growing in another direction. Today, she’s a Reiki Master and her works of art reflects the purpose for healing. Currently, she’s a member of East End Art Council, Southampton Artist Association, and healing practitioner and is also a Real Estate agent. Her last series is Drip Painting where she uses the Jackson Pollock technique expressing herself in the language of the 4th and 5th dimension.
She has had solo exhibitions at Village Latch Inn, United Nations, Cine Pireneus, Goias State Visual Arts Association, United Nations -Secretariat Building, Joshua’s Place, De Almeida Gallery, Multiarte Gallery, St. Paul Park Hotel, John Wicliffe English School, Varig, Alliance Francese, Interior Cabinet Ministry, House Of Representatives, St. Paul Park Hotel, Central Bank, Senate – Congress, House Of Representatives, among others. She has also had group exhibition at several locations. She currently works and lives in Southampton, NY. Helena’s art is on display in several galleries and museums in Southampton, NY and beyond. Due to the style that she developed, her art is easily recognizable among the work of other artists. They are durable and can be used for decoration for a life time.
