Moira Hershey is a graduate of BFA in Illustration from Savannah College of Art and Design. After her graduation, she relocated to Vermont where she worked as a designer and staff artist at Wild Apple. She’s a mixed media artist whose style is fun, cute and quirky with an emphasis on texture and bold lines using digital media, ink, and gouache. She open to learning new styles and techniques and will be seen visiting art shows, museums and galleries to learn from other artists. She’s also open to criticism as she believes life is a continuous learning process. What inspires her are the positive reviews she receives from her viewers and from professional art critics. Moira is also inspired by Warhol Andy’s early advertising work, and the graphic, flat qualities in the works of Mucha Alphonse and Harper Charley.
She spends most of her free time watching movies, reading art books, and singing bad karaoke. She’s known for her interactive art, and for her creativity. Her art captures the attention of her viewers, who often have to stop and have a second look. Her art has been used on various products since earliest times. Moira loves her work. In fact she’s always looking out for collaborations with bloggers, brands, designers, publications and with other artists. It truly excites her that her art is being appreciated and shared through so many different platforms. Moira’s art continue to cause a lot of excitement among art students, art teachers and collectors. Collectors place high price tag on her art.
