Jennifer Harwood is a Vancouver based painter. She was born and raised in London, Ontario. Her chosen subject is the environment around her. Jennifer is primarily a self-taught artist, but has taken classes in composition, color and drawing through Emily Carr College of Arts and Design. She also received a Diploma in Graphic Design and a BA in Dance from Simon Fraser University. Westcoast flowers in her own backyard and the landscapes have been her primary focus. Jennifer has exhibited her work both in the United States and British Columbia over the last decade and is currently an associate member of the Federation of Canadian Artists. She has performed in Vancouver and across Canada and has had the opportunity to spend time in London, England studying her craft. Jennifer’s desire to get back into visual art made her to get involved with the Federation of Canadian Artists and the Vancouver Art Guild.
Her style is very unique and she follows her heart when working on any piece of art. She has had the opportunity to travel a lot and to visit many art galleries, museums and exhibitions. Jennifer is a keen observer and has the ability to pick the little details that other artists can easily ignore. Many of her artworks have found their way into many people’s homes, and in private and public institutions. They are also much sought after by many collectors, both corporate and private, throughout the world. Her artworks are presented in different finishing options.
