Ryan Fowler is an American visual artist who specializes in illustration and graphic design. He was inspired into the art of illustration and graphic design through his study of photography. After attaining his Masters of Fine Art from Rhode Island School of Design, he started out taking pictures, retouching and analyzing them to get the best. His college study and photography work ended up motivating to start his illustration and design works. Learning of printing methods used in photography for both computer and darkroom also inspired him to create lifelike elements through painting. Fowler hasn’t restricted himself to modern or traditional techniques; instead he works with a fusion of both to come up with the best results in his artwork. As a result, he uses painting, drawing, and computer aided techniques to create his pieces. Besides being open to both traditional and modern techniques, Fowler is also open to different subjects in his artwork. He covers subjects such as animals, typography, children art and landscapes.
Looking at his artworks, it's clear that nature is his biggest inspiration. For commercial purposes, however, Folwer is often contracted to do advertising design works for different companies as well. His other inspiration is Pacific Northwest and New England iconography. Although Fowler's art works are sold and exhibited in different galleries across the globe, they are mainly created and sold through his Native Vermont Studio located in Middlebury, Vermont, which he founded in 2009. His star continues to shine due to the high quality that he delivers to his customers.
