Since 1989, Lynnea Washburn has been working in the art licensing industry and has taken up a variety of roles including Artist, Writer and Art Director. She has also worked in a variety of mediums. However, she enjoys the versatile nature of watercolor above all other mediums. The artist usually partners with manufacturers and they put her work onto products for gifts, stationery, and home decor which are carried by an array of self-governing mid-tier chain stores and gift retailers. She lives in Washington and her inspiration comes from life's challenges, nature, friends, faith and family. She counts herself lucky to have many blessings among them are her three sons and husband, community and church, her health, the innate exquisiteness of the bright green state... and lots of Starbucks coffee.
Her art is in search of shadows and light, and of pretty things in life, the feeling of a blue moon and the ocean all inspire her work. The artist strives to create images that bring back memories of viewers’ favorite days. She has also created FaithArt Bible Study. This is an innovative Christian bible study approach that combines bible studies she authors with art journal techniques. Lynnea has designed this artistic experience specifically for women who seek to grow in their relationship with God. She teaches both through online courses and in her studio near Seattle. She loves competing by herself, and being inspired by her family, as well as her own childhood memories. Her art has performed well in many exhibitions.
