Dan Dipaolo Wall Art

Dan DiPaolo spent his childhood imagining other places. Dan waited tables after attending art school until it reached a point when he realized that he was missing the art world too much to stay away. He now lives in a brick farmhouse in Indiana where he has converted several of his rooms into separate studios for different mediums that he works with for his posters, print and art. The epicenter of his creativity is the kitchen table where he is usually found in the morning sketching and drawing before going out to feed his turkeys, goats, sheep, and hens. Besides the traditional posters, art, and prints that he is known for, Dan DiPaolo also writes and sculpts. From angels to snowmen, his eclectic artwork and mixed media compositions are a whirlwind of folk art - some created from springs, tin, wood, and paint. Through his collaboration with Karen H. Good, Dan DiPaolo continues to dazzle with a new line of artwork created exclusively for August Moon.

Most of his days are spent on his farm in Burlington. From his studio window he can watch leaves fall, the corn grow, snow flakes flurry, and all the critters that find their home on the farm. His artwork is all about personality. They are playful and full of the whimsy, his posters, art, and prints reflect quirky features and life of the human spirit. Much of his inspiration comes from the people he knows, his farm and his friends from his hometown of Lockport, NY. His characters often begin as a doodle then develops as he progresses to the final product. He hopes that his art makes his viewers giggle just a little.
