Myles Sullivan says that art celebrates life. He loves to capture a transitory moment of time in his paintings - a Canadian through and through, the artist lives near the city of Vancouver with his wife and family. His hope is to bring the viewer into a unique world, a different world where they can ponder the feeling of the emotion, the moment and the mystery. Sullivan believes that there’s always a story behind a scene, and that though the story remains inscrutable, the viewer will always identify it when they are keen enough. Whether the images show a withdrawal into loneliness or an instant of connection between two people, his artwork portrays soulful, moody scenes. Everyday, Sullivan gets to interpret the mysteries of the world around him. If for a moment, the viewer can imagine themselves into a new world, the he will feel privileged to have given out that opportunity.
He spends his days working from his West Coast studio. His studio is surrounded by the serenity of the countryside. Sullivan creates artwork that captures the energy of the world around us. He experimented with his art career after graduating from Art School, painting in a variety of mediums and techniques. When he isn’t painting, the artist escapes to the wilderness of the back county and immerses himself in sweet memories. His children and his wife are a constant source of inspiration and joy. Art inspires him to explore the mystery and emotion of the moments in his own life.
