Ily Szilagyi’s attention has been concentrated in the field of Infrared Photography and monochrome Fine Art Photography in the subjects of artistic, floral, still life, and scenic photography. For most of her childhood she grew up in East Europe and later, in 1992, moved to Gummersbach, Germany with her husband. Ily lived in California for 2 years and worked in the field of architectural design, where she tied together her ability to recognize details in the structure of the environment, people and objects. Within the past 4 years, she has worked as a professional photographer through several image libraries in Canada, New York and London. Ily aims to celebrate life with her inspirations from winter scenes, everyday life, human beings and nature. Her work has been licensed for various book and CD covers and has been reproduced by many Fine Art Publishers.
In 2006, she was honored with the 1st place in photojournalism at the IPA International Photography Awards. She has also been honored a 3rd place standing at the px3 Prix of the Paris Photography, and received honorable mentions by IPA 2005 in the categories of advertising, fine art-collage, fine art-portrait, self-portrait and special effects. Ily’s work has been exhibited in Greece, Poland, Italy, Brazil, UK, the United States (New York, Los Angeles), Germany and Sweden. Her art is owned by some of the leading collectors throughout the world. Her experience in this field enables her to produce high quality images that make her art to be in great demand.
