Virginia A. Roper (Born 1973) was born in New York City. He has been making art for almost as long as she has been alive. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Communication Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her work has a range of styles, from abstract to fantasy to realism. Her current preferred medium is to use washes, either oil or watercolor, over top of ink or pencil. He is a freelance painter and illustrator who grew up in Richmond, Virginia. Roper’s parents are both artists, and his creativity was encouraged by them. He spent a great deal of time drawing on any surface that was available. in 1995, after graduating from the School of Visual Arts where he specialized in silk-screening and illustration, he began working for MTV Animation as a storyboard revisionist and as an artist for many advertising agencies.
Later on, Roper was able to exercise more personal and creative styles while shifting into the world of visual art related to music and also related to packaging. He now creates music merchandise and record covers for a wide variety of bands including High on Fire, Grand Magus, Howlin' Rain, Sleep, Sunn O, Buzzoven, and Earth, and as well as more normal acts like The Black Crowes. He has since developed a name as a contributing writer and artist to the cutting-edge and esteemed Arthur Magazine and Revolver, a music magazine. Roper has also designed screen-printed hand-made posters for a number of events and concerts. He has netted some esteemed clients from around the world.
