Lisa Ridgers (Born September 1968) is a fine art artist born in England. She is primarily self-taught for 14 years in Phoenix, Arizona. Lisa started her life in the UK where she first worked in the mortgage business. She traveled to the US at the age of 22. While in the US, she met an artist who accepted to teach her painting after seeing some of her sketches. Lisa decided to transform what she loved into paintings. Her love for travel, photography, and beautiful landscapes, featured a lot in her artwork. Her works have been published across the globe by several reputable firms and have also been featured on television. She started working as a full time artist in 2000. She interacted with other artists, including R. Clearwater and S Jacobs who inspired her creative works. The fact that she was self-taught allowed her to develop her own style and methods that have made her artwork stand out.
Lisa works with acrylics and at times employs mixed media as well as specific techniques to create completely original work. Experts have termed her works as a fusion of organic palette, introspection, and natural elements. Her artistic creations are available in numerous collections in the US and Europe. She employs abstractness and minimalist representational art to clearly portray her landscapes. Lisa is currently based in the UK where she has expanded her artistic works. She has also continued working with her US business networks.
“My passion for the diversity found in nature, combined with a personal quest for balance and serenity, inspires my work …... My goal is to fuse these elements together with a contemporary twist so that the viewer is invited to take a journey that is not only a visual experience, but also an intimate, emotional contemplation.”
