Tony Koukos is a photographer who loves to capture the little details of our beautiful surroundings…. the little things that everyday people ignore as they walk by and don’t even take the time to appreciate. He says that beauty can be found everywhere, from the shimmering ocean in Miami, to the crackled wood textures in the Greece’s Cycladic Islands of and ornate architectural details of Paris. Koukos has found inspiration throughout the world. He currently resides in Canada and it’s not uncommon for him to board a jet plane at the last minute to embark on a new adventure or to complete a project. Whether it’s scuba-diving the Great Barrier Reef or climbing the medieval towers of Tuscany, he does whatever it takes to find a distinctive angle that gives a perfect shot. Each time he boards a plane to embark on a new journey, he’s always excited to see what the world is presenting to his lens.
His pictures speak for themselves, with each a piece of art, conveying a character and natural beauty and a message of history. Koukos worked in the financial services industry for seven years after obtaining a University degree in business. However, in 2004 he decided to take a different path and resigned from his position and picked a camera. Having no education or experience in the art and design industry, his passion for design, travel, and photography was stronger than the fear of failure. His obsession with success has brought him to approximately 45 countries including; Cuba, Italy, Thailand, Australia, Japan, Morocco, Croatia, Turkey, Argentina, Brazil, and many more.
