Nancy Slocum was born in Coronado, California into a Navy family. While growing up, she lived in many different states of America and overseas in Cannes, France. This afforded her a rich and diverse experience. She now resides in Virginia and is a proud mother of two wonderful and beautiful adults. Creativity has always been a driving force in her life. Nancy received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Maryland in College Park. Joy abounds when she is expressing that God-given talent to create whether through: combining words and images, art, writing, cooking, setting a beautiful table, entertaining, decorating, make-up, fashion, gift wrapping, finding ways to encourage, bless and inspire people, or finding creative ways of solving problems or doing something. Nancy spent 11 years designing for a global art publisher in Richmond, Virginia called World Art Group.
Once she was done with that job, she turned to pursue writing, her true passion and calling. Some of the creative fields she has worked in are: fabrics, custom needlepoint design, home decorating, custom framing, furniture, beauty consulting, and filming Christian interviews. Throughout her life, Nancy has been blessed to have very special and many unique women mentors. In later years Nancy received an unforgettable and divine life-changing vision for her calling to be God’s instrument. She started a blog called "God Whispers" through which she shares with the world those prophetic dreams, words, revelations and visions the Lord speaks to her heart by His Holy Spirit. Currently, her journey is all about living out the holy mandate she received by the Spirit of God.
