Based in Torrance, CA, United States, artist Vivien Rhyan creates from her love of nature. She’s influenced by the sky and the moods of the ocean, and the immense palette of colors exhibited by Mother Nature. Vivien has a strong affinity with nature and in what’s going on in her environment daily. These influences reflect clearly in her art and inspire her future works. Vivien holds a B.F.A. from the Art Center College of Design, one of the leading art colleges in Pasadena, Ca. Her work is published by Monarch Publications, Sundance Graphics and Gango Editions. She’s also been published by Posters International and Fidelity Fine Arts of California. She exhibits and sells her art in the form of acrylics, watercolors, and oils, and is collected by many private and public corporations.
Her art is in collections of South Hills Country Club, Freeman General Insurance, Humana Hospitals, McKenna and Cueno Law Firm, Great Western Banks, Sanwa Bank, Beef Baron Restaurants, Intel, Inc., and Kaiser Hospitals. Vivien has worked as a background illustrator for Hanna-Barbera studios. She also developed, for national television, backgrounds for the animated version of the Karate Kid 3. Vivien worked both in France and the United States for the Beverly Hills’ Jacque Harvey Studios. She also worked as a background illustrator for the Hanna Barbera Studios. She currently illustrates a children's book. Due to her choice of subject matter, her art can be used to decorate any room. That’s why they can be seen hanging on the walls of some of the most prestigious buildings in the world.
