Bird of Paradise Flower Art

With their vast array of beautiful, vivid color, and unique shape the bird of paradise flowers often inspire artists to produce magnificent bird of paradise flower art work. Also known as crane flowers, they are indigenous to South Africa and the flowers resemble a colorful bird in flight, from which it receives its name. The flower itself was discovered in 1772 by Scottish botanist, Francis Masson and comes in different colors.
