Christine Jopling Wall Art

Christine Jopling is an illustrator based in Yorkshire. She’s known for her watercolor style and wobbly-lined ink, but more increasingly her bold colored graphic canvases are getting much attention. Her subjects include anything from beer bottles to beloved British birds and aliens to farmyard animals. She reflects her love of the landscape on canvas in a manner that’s stunning, revealing a bit of an active imagination. Some of her clients include Wells & Youngs Brewery, Victor Stationary, Sunrise Greetings, Staffordshire Tableware, Popshots, Paper Magic, Paperclip, Palgrave Macmillan, Max Fortune, J. Arthur Dixon, Henry Ling, Hanson White, H.A. Interiors, Galaxy of Graphics, F.J. Warren, Crown House Publishing, Country Publications, Campaign For Real Ale, and And Capital One. Christine is well aware that to produce different emotional responses from the viewer she has to use different colors.

She emphasizes that no artist should underestimated a good color scheme if they want to achieve their objectives. She takes her time to look at her subjects in real life. Her art is inspired by Quentin Blake, Ronald Searle and Bob Godfrey, and also by nightclub flyers, sweetie wrappers, and the album covers of 1970s, her work combines a gentle humor and an eye for detail. Christine is very keen to detail and says this is essential before she starts a piece of art. Before anything else, she tries to keep in mind basic rules of weight, paths, symmetry, and focal points. Her art is sold in a variety of finishing options available in many collections around the world.
