Maggie Heinzel-Neel Wall Art

Maggie Heinzel-Neel is a professional photographer and also works as a yoga teacher. She lives in New Paltz (village), New York. She studied at Stuart Country Day School, Princeton High School, Princeton, NJ and at Drexel University. Maggie says that photojournalism is her passion. That’s why she loves what she does. She shoots weddings as a quiet observer and the calm, clear director of portraits. She avoids too many stiff poses by creating a moment and shoot as the observer. She says this allows the pictures to capture the candidness of what’s happening. Knowing the pictures she takes will be in the family for generations is an honor to her, and she strives to shoot each wedding as a sacred act – because it actually is. Some of her published weddings include Manhattan Bride Spring 2007, Hudson Valley Magazine 2007, The Knot/ New York Metro Magazine spring 2008, and Manhattan Bride Spring 2008.

Maggie has been a tremendous source of inspiration to many upcoming photographers. Even those she’s been in this business for several years, she still looks for news and creative ways to improve her work. Already, her works are found in several galleries and in several of private and corporate collections all over the USA. Her photographs reflect a balance of emotion and technical skill. That has made her to win many awards including PX3 International photography competition, first and second prize in professional photojournalism, Bay Area Peninsula journalism Award, and first place photojournalism for the san Francisco Business times.
