Lori Maphies Wall Art

Lori Maphies Lori was born and raised in northern Missouri and now resides in the mountains of Colorado with her two children and wonderful husband. She grew up in a creative family and this inspired her to paint and draw. Lori is basically a self-taught artist and paints the things that are close to her heart: gardening, Americana and snowmen. Being from the Midwest the artist strives to achieve a primitive feeling in her paintings and finds the beauty in old things. She started her first business when she was 18 years old hand painting clothing while attending college. She earned a degree in Travel and Tourism Management, but she continued on her creative path of designing. Lori enjoys yoga, gardening, collecting antiques, skiing and spending time with her family. In 1995 Lori and her husband developed F.L.Y. Wear, a line of screen-printed folk art shirts.

Lori is the artist to engage for projects that require great creative, critical thinking and strict deadline. She has a strong sense of design with the ability to use any medium or platform to provide the best for her clients. She has received several honors and awards. Her work has been brought into countless homes, businesses, and exhibited all over Colorado and beyond. Lori feels grateful to live in such a beautiful area that’s so rich in subject matter for her artwork, and in such a special community of great people. Her art is found in many private and corporate collections around the world. She’s very careful when it come to the choice of subject matter.
