Diane Arthurs produces a range of identically styled still-life paintings in acrylic medium. She began her artistic journey at a very early age, coloring and drawing her way through childhood. As she continued into a more learned environment, Diane took part in a commercial art program while in high school. She then proceeded to art school where she graduated. After graduation she worked as an art director of an advertising agency for some time before she branched out onto her own and specialized in graphic design. Her painting talents and hard work led her to Penny Lane Publishing, her current agent. A picturesque theme shadows over much of Diane’s art as she strives to capture the essence of home. Her paintings have been described as comfortable and soft; some of her most recent work includes floral art and game room.
She believes country is handmade and homemade, but most of all provides a feeling of comfort that she wishes to draw her viewer into. The artist chooses subject matter that her audience can easily associate with. She carefully chooses what truly inspires her and turns it into special prints for her clients. She wants her art to evoke emotions and warm feelings in her viewers. She likes to travel a lot and her inspiration comes from these travels. Her works of art are much admired for her ability to combine the liberty of medium and accurateness of observation with a polished finish. Diane loves art and can never imagine doing something different.
