Sally Wetherby Wall Art

Sally Wetherby holds a degree in Art Education from the University of Wisconsin. She was born in Berwyn, Illinois. After her graduation, she went to Sonoma State University and California State University Long Beach to pursue graduate work. Her work is widely exhibited and has earned numerous awards. Sally’s paintings are included in many corporate, museum and private collections worldwide. Sally gets much inspiration from her travels. She’s travelled to the United States, Mexico and Europe from where she had a wonderful experience. When she returned to her California studio, she began to combine photography with painting. Today she concentrates on still life photography and combines her love of searching flea markets for growing flowers and interesting props, with oil painting and photography. Her posters, art and prints are in great demand.

After traveling extensively, she developed a unique technique, and over the years the technique has developed and finally it evolved into a style that’s easily recognizable. Using transparent glazes, layers of oil paint, wax and lacquer on wood panel the artist achieves a beautifully crafted, highly finished work of art. Sally enjoys what she does and says she can not leave it for anything else. Her passion for art is clearly reflected in the quality of her work. Sally has been a great source of inspiration to many upcoming artists. Her art is available in many outlets all over the world. She uses computers in her creative process to improve the quality of her work so as to make them more attractive.
