Ann Parr has a lifelong interest in food, agriculture, sustainable farming and architecture. She lived Princeton, NJ, but moved to Albemarle County with the intention of staying only a month but for the last 35 years, the rural character and the simple beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains have since informed her firm commitment to the area. Ann has harnessed her artistic talents into a variety of successful business in Charlottesville where her managing skills and extensive entrepreneurial business background are well known. Her robust understanding of the Charlottesville area, excellent marketing experience, and financial skills, all have contributed to her success. She studied Studio Art at the University of Virginia and has a continuing passion for photography, painting and art. She has combined these skills with her love of business and working with people as she brings her creative gifts to her clients by advising them on moving furniture, kitchen layouts, color choices, and bringing the house to market successfully.
Ann herself is a talented and passionate home-maker. She has moved a historically significant home, renovated 6 houses, and successfully marketed and sold these properties. Her work has been published as greeting cards, as fine art prints, and as posters. Her inspired approach to business and art, and her unique grasp of the Charlottesville area, built upon decades of experience in the community, allows her to advise clients with creativity, ongoing commitment and wisdom. When relaxing, Ann can be found gardening, cooking with her large family, enjoying Nia dance and painting.
