Richard Judson Zolan Wall Art

Richard Judson Zolan (Born in 1931) established himself as one of most exceptional painters in America. He was an American Impressionist born in Chicago, IL. He was an adherent to the principles of American and European impressionism. He graduated from the Art Institute of Chicago, and later studied in New York City at the Art Students League. Zolan was a personal friend, and a student of Louis Rittman who was an instructor. Rittman taught him the style and fundamental techniques of impressionism. Zolan was prolific, energetic, and enthusiastic about his creativity. He became an artist for the love of creating and the recognition his art stems purely from the talent he exhibited. He pursues his art with efficiency, precision, optimism and love. The most insidious quality of his posters, art, and prints is the unique synergy he achieved in bringing to his canvas a glorious marriage of Renaissance with modern art.

Exhibiting internationally, Zolan lives as he paints, with creativity, vigor and verve. He is a new idea built upon an old tradition – truly what America is all about. It is rare to encounter an artist like him whose career and life incorporate a bonding of his style’s phenomena. Zolan’s prints, romantic art, and posters have become a standard for American Impressionism, an authentically distinct genre. Zolan loved to paint and used his painting as a means of communicating his inner feelings to his audience. His art has found its way into many people’s homes, and also into many art collections and galleries.
