Blenda Tyvoll is a painter who grew up traveling to diverse global locations together with her family. Although their home was in Oregon, her family used to travel a lot because of her dad's building works that took the family as far as Madagascar. Such travels gave her a variety of experiences, exposing her to several beautiful places expressed in diverse colors and contrasts. Such experiences have lived with her since and are often captured in her artistic works. Blenda draws enormous inspirations from her Christmas tree farm in Portland, Oregon, where, together with her husband, they grow cut flowers. It's also in the same place where she has her studio. Blenda studied at the Maryhurst University from where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in art and interior design. After completing her studies, she delved into a lifelong artistic journey that has seen her sell her creative works through her website, galleries, among other platforms. Blenda first gets the idea of an image on her mind before transferring it to canvas. Although she has different techniques, her favorite approach is scraping, adding layers, glazing, and stamping her background in order to achieve the most expressive texture that best defines her subjects. Blenda enjoys creating her artistic works and sharing her imaginations with her viewers to afford them the beauty expressed through her creative use of colors and sharp contrast.
