Miro Kenarov Wall Art

Miro Kenarov is a Bulgarian-born U.S. artist. He received his MFA from the National Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia Bulgaria in 1988. He currently resides in Santa Fe, New Mexico. His art expresses his vision of the world gained through his personal life experience and visits to different places around the world. He enjoys exploring and learning about various cultures, natural phenomena and man-made creations. In Bulgaria, he worked in the fields of graphic design, book illustration, and print-making. Kenarov regularly participates in major art festivals and art shows in the Southwest and around the country. His deep interest in the technique of stone lithography led him to the Tamarind Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In 1993, he started his adventure in the New World as an American artist.

Kenarov usually employs different media and a variety of materials to produce his artwork on paper or canvas. Pieces of art are often created grouped together in a series. From haunting romance and whimsical settings to geometric still lives to imaginative and real landscapes, these “visual lyrics” as he refers to them are rich in imagination and realism. He has worked as art director, graphic artist, a freelance artist and producer for a number of companies in the United States, such as Northrop Grumman, TRW, Prowess Software, BIOS Group, ScienTech, Inc., and Reddy News Corp. in 2001, he moved with his family to Santa Fe. He has built a home and studio in “The Land of Enchantment.” His wife, Maria, is a ceramic artist.
