Though a native New Yorker, Amalia Veralli has been living in Vermont for more than 30 years. She’s a photographer widely known for her beautiful flower images. Her images make the viewers feel the breathtaking beauty of each individual flower that she sets against the drama of a classic black background. She’s very keen to detail and that has made her art to be admired even by other artists. The fine details she has been able to capture with the camera lens and the play of light on many of the flowers demand that the viewers look at the images more than once. Her photographic journey includes study at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, the University of Vermont and several private studies and workshops. Amalia began exploring photography while on a trip to Europe. By then she was working for a student travel organization.
Amalia’s work is published by Image Conscious as canvas prints and posters. Her macro images are part of the décor in the hospitality suites at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas; and the Pottery Barn’s Art to Collect site features several of her images as limited edition art, signed giclee prints. Since she joined Vermont Professional Photographers, she won many red and blue ribbons for her illustrative and portrait photography in the Annual Photography Competition. Her flower calendars have been published by Tide-Mark Publishing for almost ten years. Her images have found their way into many publications and can also be seen hanging on the walls of many buildings around the world.
